Sonic Artefacts’ Electromagnetic Sound Probe is a highly sensitive electromagnetic probe to listen to the hidden sounds all electronic devices make. It can be used with portable recorders, mixing desks and does not need phantom power. Make sure to set your gain accordingly!
The Electromagnetic Sound Probe is a mono, passive electromagnetic sensor that you can use to pick up sounds from the electromagnetic spectrum that are outside of . It works without the need of phantom power with a standard XLR pre-amplifier. It is significantly more sensitive than other common electromagnetic pickups, such as telephone pickup coils and can be used to sniff out sounds from all the electronic devices that surround us.
