in between patches

Performed on a modular synthesizer, 'in between patches' consists of 23 individual parts. Each of these patches can take up to two months until they are finalized. During that time, elinch records various states to listen back, decide if something is missing, or whether a track should go in a completely different direction. These recordings often have a special spontaneous appeal, as they are not about perfection, but rather capture the temporary mood of a piece.

Making each of the album's parts a snapshot of an intimate moment - fleeting, evolving and disappearing.
